Günter Pfitzmann - 10 Years gone, but not forgotten!

The 30th of May marks the 10th anniversary of Günter Pfitzmann's death. The iconic West Berlin actor is buried in Waldfriedhof Zehlendorf, within walking distance from the Nikolassee station.

The rough DAWB plan is to meet at the underground station Onkel Toms Hütte at about 4.30pm and then wander at a slow pace towards Nikolassee station via the beautiful lakes Krumme Lanke and Schlachtensee. At Nikolassee by about 6pm, we would meet up with any fans not wishing to do the lakeside hike and head to the forest graveyard together. The graveyard closes at the fall of darkness, giving us plenty enough time to learn something about the history, those buried there, hear some anecdotes about Günter and pay our tributes.

Afterwards maybe a bite to eat and a drink, depending on everybody's plans. Please feel free to join us!

In order to avoid the thunderstorms that are going to arrive tomorrow evening we have moved the event forward 30 minutes. 4pm at Uncle Tom's and then 5.30pm at Nikolassee. We should then be eating, drinking or on the way home by the time the storm hits and any light rain on the walk will be dealt with by the trees.
