After almost giving Mainz a panic attack or two in the first round of the DFB Cup, BAK have almost been as successful as their Bundesliga opponent in the league this season, albeit a fair few divisions below. With six wins and a draw, they remain undefeated and are equal on points with Torgelow but with a game in hand. Their goal difference is even before the game with us, the best in the Oberliga, just as ours is clearly the worst, and they have so far conceded only two goals, which is surely a sign of a competent defence. With only a quarter of the season gone it is perhaps too early to say, but the promotion spot this season would seem to be a head to head between BAK and Torgelow, teams that of course earned more money for their first round DFB qualification than TeBe has had for their whole squad this year.
This is therefore not a game that TeBe are expecting to win or even draw - our focus this season on the other end of the table. Let us just hope the young squad manage to weather today's storm without losing any of the euphoria from their late win in the last game.

Well that was a mini-miracle in Berlin Mitte. TeBe hold out for a 0-0 against a rather annoyed BAK to deservedly earn a point against relegation. I feel better already.

From the first minute to the very last minute our defense was always aware of it, great play against the attacking efforts of BAK, especially in the first half with quite a couple of dangerous counter attacks - resulting to one or two good chances.
Frankly speakin - in the second half we were just defending, but that we made awesome - and fuckin effective! No bases were loaded by BAK, no flyer was efficient, we instead played a lot of double-plays!
I know - a fuckin lot baseball language - but again: we survived because of our decent defense - especially in the second half! We earned this precious little point with 100%! One of the sweetest draws I ever watched. After the game the team approached our fence and we and them together cheered the hell out of us!
