Home vs. Schwerin 6.10.23

Avatar Beitrag von Jay »

The win last Sunday in Neukölln was just what the doctor ordered. After a painful slide of close losses and ties, these Violets were able to pull together a confident win built on their strengths: a stout defense, lightning fast wingers, and veteran depth up the middle. Two goals from Nattermann won us the game and an afternoon of good vibes.

Tasmania is one of Berlin's other traditional clubs, and it would be great to see both teams and this derby back in the Regionalliga (or higher ;) ) someday.

Brauer's Boys have another tough test coming up on Friday. The Mecklenburgians will be coming down from their castle with a new head coach and a strong desire to seize a point from Eichkamp. Like we have seen already before, there are no cake-walks in this Oberliga. The Tennis Prussians will have to come ready and play hard the whole game if they want the win.

Can't wait to see the match, and you, this Friday at Mommsen.

Tennis Borussia Berlin vs. D. Schwerin

What a nail-biter!

Sorry folks, was sick and couldn't make it to the game to write a match report.

Sounds like it was a good one, from the legend Benny (what a great interview! http://lilakanal.de/viewtopic.php?t=9151 ) to the feeling in the stands to the last minute goal to win the game.

Watching the ticker at 91' and seeing it still tied on a dark windy night (against the team in second to last place) felt pretty depressing, but this team - like they have before - came together and won it on their own initiative.

It bears repeating: this league doesn't have any easy wins, but this is a team that plays with heart, grit, and skill that we can get behind.

Come on TeBe!

Thanks to those who were there for sharing how it was on the German thread. See you (hopefully) at the next one!
