Win98-Problem

Ich habe recht häufig das Problem, dass der Rechner nur auf einen Teil der Tasten des Keyboards reagiert, während einige komplett tot sind. An der Tastatur liegt es definitiv nicht, da ich sie schonmal testweise ausgetauscht habe. Zudem sind es auch immer wieder andere Tasten, die streiken. Hin und wieder lässt sich das Problem durch erneutes Booten lösen, aber nicht immer. Hat zufällig jemand ne Idee, was man da ohne Plattmachen und Neuinstallation anstellen kann? BS ist wie gesagt Win98.

Wir schreiben das Jahr 2007 Ich habe aber noch alte Win 2000 Versionen wenn Dir das helfen könnte. XP oder Vista wird Dein Rechner mit Sicherheit nicht mehr verkraften.

Platte, Speicher, Prozessor? Oder hat das Ding das überhaupt?

2000 ist ja wohl das allerletzte,der reinste Bugbooster...wenn schon die letzte nt Version.Ich selbst machs mir mit Linux-Debian absturzfrei und virensicher bequem

Habe schon geahnt, dass das auf einen Glaubenskrieg hinausläuft...;) @Steve, danke, aber das hilft mir nix. Es geht ja nicht um meinen Rechner, sondern um die Möhre an meinem "Arbeitsplatz", und da darf ich eigenmächtig ohnehin kein anderes OS aufspielen, zudem würde Win2k die 32MB RAM an seine Grenzen bringen und auch gar nicht auf die HD passen. Es muss sich also irgendwie unter den gegebenen Voraussetzungen lösen lassen.

Erzähl das mal dem BZA. ;) Ich hätte ja schon selber einen neuen reingestellt, aber da müsste der ganze Steuerungskram für die Tafel eingebaut werden, und dazu ist nur die Wartungsfirma autorisiert. Block B versteht seit anderthalb Jahren kein Wort mehr, weil die Boxen dort hinüber sind, trotzdem tut sich nix. Wir sind hier halt nicht in Wuhlistan. ;)

Is it possible to type the necessary words to a notepad doc at home, put them on disk and cut and paste them in using the mouse on the antique computer? Then it dont matter if the keyboard is f**ked but it could mean a lot of typing....

Win 98 is so old now that it is hard to update it....... we are taking the honour of being a club with tradition a little too far with the computer system i feel.

At least I guess "Tukiy<mspo" are probably used to having their names spelt wrongly, though not usually by a friendly open minded West Berlin team.

Yes, I´ve been using this method already several times, but the problem is that the software for the Anzeigetafel does not know context menues for the right mouse button and if either the "ctrl"- or "v"-button strikes you cannot paste the content into the application. (Furthermore this method is a bit circumstantial for e.g. typing in the team compositions - and you have already been witness of bungle going nuts in his little padded room up there.... ) So the only possibility (?) seems to be to reboot as often as necessary until you can use at least the most important buttons.
