Hugh!

But there are also things such as rights and freedoms and the general principle of innocence until guilt proven... perhaps you should ask why they exist.
And as for hooligans do you have any evidence of any hooligan behaviour?
Showing the BFC fans any great deal of solidarity sticks in my throat too, and probably everyone else here... but the idea that police can just storm a football party in a night club for what seems to be no reason and with such violence and prejudice is worrying dont you think?
I remember the BFC demo here in Kiez and it looked like a Nazi march, I remember being at their ground and their banners and security but I also remember the nice fans in the Casino after the match last season. However many asshole fans BFC may or may not have I dont think a football party is any business for special riot police squads myself.
Like I say, if you have any evidence that these were Nazi BFC hooligans threatening others or planning to, if you think that these people were being a danger to the general public or the Verfassung then out with the details..... otherwise I dont unterstand how you can approve.
Perhaps I will see you at the match tomorrow or at the treffen as I dont get it.

"Zumindest wird in einem bekannten Neonazi-Forum (wikingerversand) davon berichtet, dass "Kameraden" dabei waren... und auf die Fresse bekommen haben..."
Very possible and no tears for the Kameraden from me.... but if the Anwesenheit of Nazis is enough reason to storm a building in such a way then we can be expecting the closure of pretty much every disco in Brandenburg and most of East Germany.
According to Reuters press:
"Police raided a nightclub and arrested 180 people in an attempt to head off violence between fans of rival clubs.
Police made the raid Saturday and kept some of BFC Hühnerhof Berlin's fans in custody during Sunday's regional league game with Nordsachsen Berlin.
"The disco was a known meeting place for fans of Hühnerhof Berlin. Some are known troublemakers," police spokesman Uwe Kozelnik said. "We also searched for dangerous objects, but didn't find any.""
But storming a night club in such a way in order to arrest some "troublemakers" and not finding any weapons is very suspect. Its not a sensible way of dealing with a hooligan problem, merely a bit of street theatre and display of power.
And what of the consequences of the police being able to raid clubs and buildings where some troublemakers (among many other people) are in order to stop violence the next day that hasnt even happened yet? Perhaps we could adopt the same position with regards to Nazi marches or the 1st of May? How many days a year would an antifascist have to sit in prison to make sure that there is no violence?
But perhaps this subject deserves a new thread or would be better discussed at the meeting in Fanladen. I certainly have no sympathy with BFC hooligans but the thought that this operation is a gradual practice run for the WM is quite shocking I feel as someone who loves live football but doesnt like senseless violence.
