So for all our millions of non German speaking fans out there. The management are currently putting together an amazingly super squad for the coming season and the first highlight of 2011/2012 starts with the first kick of the ball. On the 23rd of July TeBe have the honour of welcoming our chums from Red Star Leipzig to a pre-season friendly here in Berlin, the match to be played on the Hans-Rosenthal pitches where Uncle Jimmy will hopefully provide us with tasty beverages. See you there for kick off at 4pm, but as 50cents from every 2.50 Euro beer goes directly to the club perhaps many of you will choose to turn up a little earlier.

After the match you are all welcome join the E-Block on their road trip to East Berlin, where there is a fund-raiser gig and party near Rosenthaler Platz. Schedule:

16:00 Match
18:15 Trip from the match to the party and concert
19:00 Barbecue (includ vegetarian options) outside the Subversiv (Brunnenstr. 7)
20:00 Entrance
20:30 Biberstand Boys (E-Block-Punx)
22:00 Basil Squire (Singer/Songwriter)

This will be followed by djs and there will be cheap drink offers all night.

I have no idea how much this will cost but I hope it will be cheaper than Erna vs Real on Wednesday night.

Season tickets 11/12 will be available at the turnstiles for 105 (and 75) Euros for the upcoming 18 matches of Berlin league fun.

And remember: There's only one team in Leipzig... but this is the other one

Well TeBe won deservedly 2-1 in front of an impressive crowd of at least 250, which considering the leagues the teams play in is a great success itself. The construction of the squad has had some set backs but is coming along slowly but surely and it was nice to see some good combination play and promising signs of a team feeling at this early stage. The next friendly is also a friendly friendly away against our chums from Rathenow on Wednesday night.

Red Star Leipzig made us a banner and there was a group photo on the pitch after the game. Thanks very much to them for that lovely gesture. Afterwards most managed to get to the Subversiv for a party together with the Beaver Stand Boys playing their TeBe hits followed by Basil Squire the singer songwriter strumming out his tunes. Afterwards some fans and friends djed away until the early hours of the morning, the beer reserves running out at least once.

All in all a promising start to the season for the team and for the fan scene. Thanks to everybody that made it possible and for all those that played a tune, sold a beer, cleaned the floors, carried stuff about, helped on the door and all the other little jobs that make a party come to life. Brilliant.

Season 2011/12 has now officially started!

TeBe were slaughtered 8-0 yesterday by our friends in Rathenow in their our pre-season friendly, which is a disappointing but expected result. We now have two weeks to get the final touches to the squad together. First match on 13th August at 3.30pm home against BFC Preussen. Remember them?

Good luck of course in the coming season to Rathenow. I am sure a lot of TeBe fans will pop along to one or two of their matches again this year... but perhaps without their bikes.
