Match 3: TeBe vs BSC

344 fans watched TeBe lose 5-1 at home to the Berliner SC, the whole thing made worse I think by the fact that we played the second half of the game at a reasonable level. Being 4-0 down after about half an hour it seemed as if we were going to take at least 10. On the one hand I am pleased that we didn't completely crack, which would have been a nasty blow for the boys. But on the other hand I am just pissed off (like really pissed off) that we played so unbelievably shit in the first 35 minutes or so. Their first goal was almost worthy of a slapstick award and for any neutral or away fans surely more amusing than any of the crap that German TV tries to put out there as comedy. For some reason unknown even to the man upstairs himself our new goalkeeper and a defender decided to body check each other in their haste to get the ball and both landed dazed on the floor as the BSCer took over and popped it in. Even more surreal was the excitement of the striker who lost the plot as if he had scored some amazing over head shot to win the world cup final in the dying seconds of extra time. This trend continued with their other goals too which were greeted with cries and grunts from our opponents that would have suited the dubbing over of any top shelf cheap wank flick. Oh, ja, geil! Not only did our opponents give each goal a porno soundtrack but they insisted on celebrating in the direction of the home fan block presumably not as a provocation but just because they don't often get the chance to celebrate in front of fans. So in front of our block we had a group of adults old enough to know better jumping, cheering, groaning, grunting and flipping out as if they won the lottery: absolutely ludicrous! Why this irrelevant aside? Well I got the impression that BSC were the sort of team that would have gladly jizzed their pants all afternoon. This means that the 1-1 draw that arose from the last 55 minutes of the game was due to TeBe finally deciding to turn up and put in a bit of effort. Nice to know that we can and a positive sign for sure but a little late after we are already 4-0 down boys. So yes, the 5-1 is perhaps a little unfair as a result. We should look at it more as a 10-0 and a 2-2.

The next match is on Sunday away and I am at the pub watching Arsenal, United, Man City and Spurs. Perhaps somebody else could write a little report or we can hope that the "No Dice Magazine" crew write something. According to the fixtures list the kick off is at 2pm and I am sure I speak on behalf of many TeBe fans here by asking the team to actually start playing from 2pm and not at 2.35 4-0 down.

Nice match report - thank you Doughnut Boy! Hopefully next time we can laugh about a slapstick-collision on the opponents side.

Unfortunately this thread has to wait a little longer before my first match report is writen. I´m busy myself at a softballmatch on sunday.
